Each month, we highlight a different way that makes an impact on our lives. For the next part of this series, we are looking at the effect that lighting has on our health.

Our relationship with light has become increasingly more important. Not only does light illuminate our surroundings, but quality lighting inside your building also has an impact on your health.

We recently discussed the history of lighting in another blog post, where we touched on Seasonal-Affective-Disorder (SAD), a type of depression related to the changes in seasons and the lack of light. Therefore, poor or little lighting in your building has also been linked to headaches, neck soreness, and vision problems.

Building operators can help combat these issues by taking into consideration the temperature of the bulbs being installed. The right intensity and lumen output from a building’s lighting will have a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of tenants!
