In the lighting industry, Colour Rendering Index (CRI) is a system that rates a light source’s accuracy to render an object’s true colour.
The CRI rating system is based on a 0 to 100 scale. This higher the CRI number, the richer the colour will appear. Differences in the CRI units can be detected by the eye is there is a difference of three or more CRI units.

When applying CRI to your next bulb purchase, keep in mind that bulbs with a CRI of 80 and above are considered to be good.
