Each month, we highlight a different way that light makes an impact on our lives. For the second part of this series, we are looking at some of the reasons for good-quality lighting in your building.
Did you know that improving the quality of the lighting in your building will result in increased productivity? Well, it’s true! Poor lighting indoors, particularly in the workplace, can cause headaches, neck soreness, and even double vision – not a good recipe for productivity.
Experts believe that a cooler light temperature makes for a more productive environment. As we’ve pointed out in our LED Buying Guide, 5000K (kelvin) temperature bulbs are on the cooler end of the spectrum. These cool white bulbs are close to the color of the sky and are considered to be the most energetic light color due to their intensity and lumen output.
As light largely impacts our physical and mental well-being, it’s worth taking the time to reevaluate how you can improve productivity by switching out your current harsh, dim lighting for something more effective!
