With so many incredible light installations taking shape in and around Calgary, we want to highlight some of the great work being done in the industry. This month, we are highlighting The Calgary Zoo.
Starting in September and running until the end of November, the Calgary Zoo is hosting ILLMINASIA. This event is a lantern and garden festival boasting 366 handcrafted lanterns. However, these aren’t your typical lanterns. These lanterns are 183 animals and 183 insects, flora, and fauna, lit-up from the inside by LED lights and tubes. Not only a very cool event but an awesome light installation as well!
