Each month, we highlight an awesome light installation in and around Calgary. For this month’s feature, we’d like to share the work we did for Diva Salon and Spa.
This project was all about setting the right mood and tone for the space. The end result is a series of installations that are complementary to the salon’s clients, with ‘warm’ lighting similar to what they would find in their homes. That way, what clients see when they look in the mirror at the salon will be similar to what they see in their everyday, regular setting.
Some other elements unique to this project:
- Individual salon station lights that have no shadowing
- Washing station lights that are not too bright, and that don’t shine directly into the client’s face
- Lighting in the spa is dim to complement the calming atmosphere required of the setting
