Have you ever been out for an evening stroll and taken a moment to think about the lighting around you? In a city, much of the lighting is chosen for the mood or feeling that it can create in a certain area. Lighting can generate an ambiance, whether it makes you feel safe, romantic, or maybe fearful. It all depends on the shape, size, and type of light being used. Imagine you’re walking down Stephen Avenue in Calgary after dark, surrounded by different styles of light fixtures that all produce light in a different way. Does this make you happy? Nostalgic for a different time? Think about it!
