There are a number of different certifications in North America to help you make an informed decision about the quality of the bulbs you are purchasing.

The DesignLights Consortium™ (DLC) promotes quality, performance, and energy efficient commercial sector lighting solutions throughout the US and Canada. The DLC is a project of the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), a non-profit that strives for change in the commercial lighting marketplace.
