When you purchase an LED bulb you will notice its ‘lumen.’ A Lumen measures the amount of visible light emitted by a light source, also known as Luminous Flux. Lumen measurements reflect the varying sensitivity of the human eye to different wavelengths of light.
In the lighting industry, Lumens per Watt (LPW) measures the efficiency or usefulness of a light source to produce visible light from a given amount of electricity. LPW is the ratios of lumens (luminous flux) to watt consumed.
