POSITION: Inside Sales Representative

LOCATION: Calgary, CA

 

OPPORTUNITY:

We need an experienced Inside Sales Representative to assist with maintaining existing accounts and business within the organization. This person will be able to work with an ambitious sales team towards providing an exceptional level of customer service. We need someone with a strong sales focus but who also enjoys the mix of getting your hands dirty with operational tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in B2C or B2B sales environments whereby you achieved sales targets quotas, understand sales process and have demonstrated success in a sales environment. You will need to posses strong, speedy computer skills, have experience in relationship building and have stellar written and verbal communication skills…aka are you charming?

What are the top challenges for the position?

1. Developing product knowledge to sell our product…either you have previous knowledge about bulbs and fixtures or you are a quick learner. There are lots of lighting products so you must not get overwhelmed, but rather be excited to learn all there is.

2. You will need to have strong time management abilities to complete a required number of outbound phone calls weekly.

What are the top actions we are looking for?

1. Taking care of our walk-in customers.
2. Assist the sales team with research and gather business intelligence on potential leads.
3. Maintain consistent contact with customers.
4. Staying on top of purchase orders and releasing product.

What results do we expect?

1. Outbound contact of least 25 customers per week.
2. Successful completion of the weekly sales training assignment.
3. Develop and maintain a database of prospects at a level that allows 100 connected calls per week over each quarter yea.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Through heavy client interaction, the Inside Sales Representative’s primary goal is improve the customer experience by implementing the CLP charm and way of doing things. You will be assigned a revenue goal along with a monthly target of necessary interactions in order to hit that goal. The day will consist of outbound calling, dealing with inbound inquiries, gathering and improving operational efficiency.

Typical day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Connecting with our customers via outbound phone calls and emails.
  • Assisting walk-in customers
  • Generating referrals from existing customers.
  • Releasing back orders.
  • Conducting research for the sales team.
  • Participate in product and sales training to improve sales acumen.
  • Connecting with our vendors to ensure accurate and up-to-date ETA’s.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Successful track record with 2+ years of sales. A strong work ethic with evidence of meeting or exceeding stated goals.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and emotional intelligence as evidenced by prior results.
  • Candidate must be adaptive, forward-thinking, eager to go beyond his/her comfort zone.
  • Strong PC skills required, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with SAP preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Sales Account Manager, your role will be to drive sales/business utilizing a consultative sales approach, building trust, and providing meaningful service to our clients.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing your own book of business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and acquire new project candidates through telephone and in-person cold calling, client meetings and corporate events;
  • Building relationships – progress to management of larger corporate accounts
  • Secure sales that meet or exceed company standards
  • Refining sales messaging, prospecting, qualifying and closing techniques;
  • Engage in strategic account planning;
  • Manage accounts by regular follow-up, updating/reporting via CRM, and working directly with senior sales management to accelerate your success;
  • Advance market awareness of the organizations value proposition

QUALIFICATIONS:
